Report from 2010 ESDRA congress

International Federation of Sleddog Sports (IFSS) vice-president of sport, Bernard Pépin, attended the 2010 European Sled Dog Racing Association (ESDRA) conference in Italy recently.  The following includes excerpts from his trip report on the meeting.  Of particular interest is the discussion of a new European Community rule that prevents transport of more than 5 dogs at a time across European borders.  This has the potential to interfere with the ability for mushers to get to/from the 2010 IFSS World Championships being held in Norway.  ESDRA and IFSS are working to resolve the issue.
