World Cup Standings - 2008

IFSS LogoIndividuals placing in the top three in world cup points standings for their region are exempt from qualifying for International Federation of Sleddog Sports (IFSS) world championship participation by their respective national federations' selection criteria.

These persons do not consume any allotments for participation that the nation is granted i.e. if a world cup winner chooses to participate at the world championships, it does not prevent another Canadian from being selected to participate by qualifying via Mushing Canada's national team selection criteria.

The Canadians listed in the table below automatically qualify to race in the classes of their choice at the 2009 World Championships in Daaquam, QC.  However, they must still submit their applications to participate and their race fees through the Mushing Canada selection committee - click here for more information.
