Saguenay, QC to host 2009 World Dryland Championships

IFSS LogoSaguenay City has won their bid to host the 2009 IFSS World Dryland Championships at the Bec-Scie Outdoor Centre (Le Centre Plein Air Bec-Scie) in the municipality of La Baie. The event will take place from October 28th through November 1, 2009.

Norway to host 2011 World Championships

IFSS LogoThe Norway bid to host the 2011 IFSS World CHampionships has been unanimously accepted. The event will be held at 3 separate venues: Oslo – Holmenkollen, Hamar and Røros and includes nordic style classes, sprint, mid distance and long distance classes.

Borlänge, Sweden – IFSS (International Federation of Sleddog Sports) Vice President Bernard Pépin has announced that all the doping control tests preformed at the recent IFSS World Championships in Daaquam (Quebec) Canada were negative. Testing was done on both canines and humans in compliance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines.

Over 300 teams representing sixteen countries plied the trails for the top honors.
